Job Summary: Generate and maintain the forecast to upload into the master production schedule. Analyze the forecast, lead times, item costs, etc. to determine the correct level of safety stock per item. Perform complex, comprehensive analysis and provide predictions, actuals, and other reports as required regarding forecasts, sales, and usage. Communicate regularly with Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Operations. Complete monthly inventory, and sales & marketing reports as required. Perform detailed budget analysis for fiscal planning. Responsible for independent decision making and has authority to take actions that affect the Company’s business. Prepare Manufacturing KPIs as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Work with Marketing to create the sales forecast and safety stock numbers to upload into the MPS.
Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access in order to perform complex, comprehensive analysis to support the forecasting process.
Work with the ERP system and the other software to generate tools to support the forecasting process. Work with ForecastPro software.
Utilize ForecastPro, Microsoft Excel, Access and Powerpoint to create detailed reports, charts, graphs, etc. as required by Marketing, Sales and Operations for predictions or actuals.
Understand the various replenishment processes including MRP, kanban and min/max to ensure cohesiveness between forecast and replenishment plans.
Provide data for the monthly demand planning meeting to determine priorities and changes.
Understand Lean Manufacturing initiatives and participate in kaizen events such as Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, 5S, Production Preparation Process, Variation Reduction, Transactional Process Improvement, etc.
Interpret and take action as required from the Product Disposition section of all engineering changes to ensure validity of the forecast.
Use common sense to override general formulas to subjectively adjust forecast as required.
Perform self inspection to ensure accuracy, completeness, and overall acceptability of work performed.
Suggests obsolescence or discontinuance of products based on usage.
Issue written and oral instructions, and scenarios and operating procedures specific to job responsibilities.
Ensure adherence to safety policies.
Maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas.
Participates in the SIOP process and assists the demand planner where needed.
Assists the SIOP manager as needed.
Coordinates efforts with Warsaw as part of the SIOP process cycle.
Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepares market analysis reports.
Designs, implements, manages, and monitors procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be highly proficient in Microsoft excel and access, have knowledge of AS400, Mapics or similar ERP system, Forecast-Pro, Powerpoint and Word.
