Biomet Spine, Trauma, Bracing and Osteobiologics The 1988 acquisition of Electro-Biology, Inc. ("EBI") provided Biomet with market-leading positions in the electrical bone-growth stimulation and external fixation-device markets. Since the acquisition, spinal products and softgoods and bracing products have been added to EBI’s product mix. EBI operates under the trade names Biomet Spine and Biomet Trauma. With headquarters in Parsippany, New Jersey, the group of EBI companies also includes plants in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico; Allendale, New Jersey and Marlow, Oklahoma.

Biomet Sports Medicine, Inc. In 1990 Biomet entered the arthroscopy market with its Arthrotek, Inc. ("Arthrotek") subsidiary. As of January 2007, Arthrotek's corporate name changed to Biomet Sports Medicine, Inc. ("Biomet Sports Medicine"). Biomet Sports Medicine’s management team is located in Warsaw, Indiana, with manufacturing and office sites located in Ontario and Redding, California. Biomet Sports Medicine's focus is on procedure-specific arthroscopy products and associated instruments, including its line of resorbable products.

Biomet 3i The December 1999 acquisition of Implant Innovations, Inc. ("3i") presented Biomet with a market-leading company competing in a high-growth market. Located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, 3i is a worldwide leader in the dental reconstructive-implant market. Biomet and 3i are working together to cooperatively develop new products and technologies such as bone substitute materials and autologous growth factors.
